Job Description

The Technical Project Manager / Trainer is responsible for developing the technical training programme and preparing training material to cover the installation, configuration, commissioning and support required for e3’s Kymeta and Hybrid solutions.

The Technical Project Manager / Trainer will create and managing a team of technical installers / training personnel who can be deployed to train and guide partner installers through the process, conducting formal certified classroom training, onsite guided training and approving initial systems installations.

The scope of the company’s installer channels include Value Added Reseller (VARs) integrators, super yacht shipyards, super yacht Service Providers (SPs) who purchase to sell through their own super yacht resellers, and other market VARs. The Technical Project Manager / Trainer will be responsible for primarily working with super yacht and other market direct VAR partners and shipyards.

This is currently a European based position.


  • Develop a detailed, documented technical training program to cover the e3 Kymeta and Hybrid solutions.
  • Together with the HR manager identify and recruit a team of technical installer trainers.
  • Manage and train the team of technical installer trainers who then, in turn, will train the VARs and SPs.
  • Project manage the training schedule as VAR and SP partners come online.
  • Develop, build and maintain excellent working relationships with VARs and SPS.
  • Manage onsite inspections and quality control of VAR and SP partner installations and commissioning.
  • Monitor and evaluate results of training programs.
  • Determine overall effectiveness of training programs and make improvements and adjustments as necessary.
  • Job Requirements

    Essential Requirements:

  • Ordinary degree level or equivalent qualifications in a related technical, engineering or telecommunications subject.
  • Minimum two years’ proven experience as a technical trainer in classroom environment and one to one training.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in designing technical training course content and agendas.
  • Experience and a working knowledge of RF satellite communications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in software technology products/solutions.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Sound judgment and good business sense.
  • Ability to adapt and rise to the challenge of working in a fast paced and growing small company environment.
  • Ability/willingness to travel (+30%).
  • Highly Desired Requirements:

  • Certified training qualification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer).
  • Good understanding of networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of the yachting market and other maritime mobile markets.
  • Ability to speak other European languages
