The Antigua Charter Yacht Show was a huge success
The 49th Antigua Charter Yacht Show that took place in early December was a great success. The Show was at full capacity this year and all the available dockage was in use with a large number of very large yachts stern to in Nelson's Dockyard just metres from our office in the Officers Quarters in the Dockyard.
There were yachts and people everywhere. At the Welcome Dinner on the Monday night, for which we were the main sponsor for the third year, over 700 people were seated for a fabulous buffet. There was a raffle draw that included prizes donated by ourselves and the other sponsors. A number of these were valued at over $1,000 each!
By all accounts there appeared to be a significant interest in charters this year and almost all the yachts we visited said they had charters booked. Let's hope this is just the start of the resurgence in the Caribbean charter market.

There were the usual number of side events taking place from the early morning Informative Hours to the Chefs Competition.
We ran one of the Informative Hours and made a presentation entitled "Why a succesful Charter Yacht Needs Broadband" together with MTN, Jetstream and Da Gama.

Next year will be the the 50th anniversary of the Antigua Charter Show. This will be an event not to be missed.
