e3 Chart Services Overview

Description

As part of our commitment to provide complete through life service to our clients and assist in their navigational safety, we have formed a proud collaboration with Da Gama Ltd, to deliver a unique personalised service directed at all aspects of Chart Management and Bridge Operation and safety at sea.

There are many regulations within the maritime industry which affect vessels upon the high seas and none more so than when it comes to the conduct of safe navigation.  Passenger ships, cargo ships or private vessels must comply with the details laid down by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to remain compliant under the various regulations of the Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Chapter V.

As Master Mariners themselves, Da Gama representatives understand your day to day operational navigation requirements and through their complete navigation management service, are experienced in dealing with all matters relating to paper and electronic navigation techniques.  Working closely with Da Gama we are able to support individual vessels and management companies with a full outfit of both paper and electronic charts and publications required to achieve and maintain Flag State certification.  Da Gama, as an agent of ‘ChartCo’, can supply weekly Notice to Mariners (NtM’s) in a downloadable electronic format for the correction and maintenance of your vessel’s chart outfit for British Admiralty, US NIMA, Japanese, Brazilian and Australian paper charts in addition to the UKHO AVCS and ARCS.   Furthermore we are able to support your Transas and C-Map electronic charting publications and outfit.

To ensure your vessel remains compliant with the regulations and thus navigationally faultless at an International Safety Management (ISM) or Port State inspection, we specialise in providing you with an auditable trail of checks and weekly navigation outfit updates to demonstrate compliance.  This inexpensive automated means of assisting in the maintenance of your outfit can provide invaluable evidence in the unfortunate event of a Maritime Accident Investigation involving your vessel and is internationally recognised as a legal means of maintaining up-to-date charts.

Weekly NtM’s can be downloaded through an automated service via e-mail, broadcast or internet connection to keep your outfit supplied with all the latest notices that affect the charts you hold.  This transforms the mundane yet essential task of keeping your chart outfit up-to-date into an easy, reliable and legally acceptable process.
