eVSAT Installation, Commissioning & Training

Product Code: eVSATINST

Much more than just the antenna and below decks equipment

A well specified and executed installation of a VSAT system is as important as the quality of the individual components.  When we talk about installation, it is commonly assumed that we are referring to the installation of the antenna and below decks equipment, but we are not.  They are important. The location, quality and length of cable runs, interference from other equipment are very important but there is more to it than that.

Installing and commissioning the VSAT antenna is one thing, but then being able to run the Applications you want is another. Making the most out of the available bandwidth, prioritising users and applications, banning applications such as bittorrent applications and load balancing with other data services such as Fleet Broadband is another science altogether, and all this needs to be considered, designed, installed and commissioned to run a successful VSAT platform on any vessel.

Either e3 engineers or e3 Partner engineers will install the systems to e3 defined standards.  Only manufacturer trained engineers will commission an eVSAT system.

After handover and a period of use we would recommend attending a VSAT Operator Training course.
