Inmarsat Mini M, Sat B & Sat M
There are over 20,000 Inmarsat Mini M terminals installed on maritime vessels with no plans from Inmarsat to withdraw the service. So support for the equipment and airtime contract will continue to be an important part of any Inmarsat service. 
Inmarsat B is due to be removed from service in 2014 so the countdown has begun to upgrade these terminals to other systems. In practice, many vessels with Sat B terminals have been converting to VSAT with a backup of Fleet Broadband. e3 Systems is well rehearsed in this type of conversion and there are even incentives from Inmarsat to subsidise the cost of the upgrade.
The few remaining Sat M terminals are rarely used and the antenna location is well suited to replacement with a Fleet Broadband terminal or VSAT. e3 Systems can advise on how to make the most out of the obsolete and obsolescent equipment on board your vessel.
