Newspaper Direct
e3 Systems was one of the first distributors of the NewspaperDirect (ND Press) service for yachts which is now almost a standard service on cruise ships and yachts. For vessels with a broadband connection the service is almost indispensable.
Broad Selection of Titles
NewspaperDirect is contractually authorised to print and distribute over 2000 newspaper titles from 95 countries in 51 languages. This list is constantly expanding to ensure that newspaper readers have access to their favorite newspaper.
Timely Availability 
Newspapers are available for downloading and printing by NewspaperDirect PrintStations when the publisher sends their newspaper to the printing presses in the home country. In some instances, a newspaper is available on another continent before it hits the news stand at home.
Familiar Format
Newspapers are printed as formatted by the publisher, but on A3 (or 11"×17") sized paper. Since they are in the original format, each newspaper includes the articles, editorials, comics, crossword puzzles and features found in the original edition. NewspaperDirect does not modify the content of newspapers provided by publishers.
iPad Version
Keeping up with technology, the Newspapers Direct service has now been adapted for the iPad and other compatible tablets. Now you can have the same publications in a completely up to date digital format with page flipping, re-sizing and even on-demand audio. Each subscription includes up to four tablet users, offering great value and convenience especially on vessels already offering or planning to offer guest iPads.
Superb Quality
ND newspapers are digitally laser printed. This means that the resolution quality greatly exceeds standard newsstand copies. With crisp text and images, the quality is excellent—and the ink doesn't smudge or rub onto a reader's fingers.
Personalisation
Each newspaper can be personalised with a recipient's name and/or other information, such as address, company name or delivery data, printed on the back page and on the top of every page. Cost efficient This solution saves the cost of shipping and logistics normally incurred in distributing out-of-market newspapers. By printing as close as possible to the consumer, users can save time and money.
Flexibility and Ease of Use
The PrintStation software has been designed and tested to be easy to use. With intuitive interfaces designed for different types of applications, operators are able to set-up and print newspapers with minimal training. The PrintStation also provides flexibility to print single or multiple copies on demand. Users can set up "subscriptions" for fully automated downloading and printing of any title—in any quantity—daily, or on a particular day.
