Product Code: SERPWEATHER

We highly recommend the Sailing Weather Forecasts provided free of charge by PassageWeather.com.  They provide 7-day Wind, Wave and Weather Forecasts to help sailors with their passage planning and weather routing worldwide.  The regions covered have been designed to suit the needs of the yachting industry, as for example this Mediterranean to Caribbean wind vector chart.

PassageWeather.com was developed out of the need for reliable, easy to use weather information and forecasts.

Both before and during deliveries, ocean races, regattas, cruises and all other types of offshore passages, your whole route is covered.

The forecast charts are created using weather data provided by the US National Weather Service (NWS), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), the Marine Meteorology Division of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), and the Cyprus Oceanography Center.

Their worldwide Surface Wind (10m above sea level), Surface Pressure, Visibility, Cloud Cover and Precipitation forecast charts are derived from the 0.5 degree GFS (Global Forecast System) model, one of the operational forecast models run at NCEP. The GFS model is run four times daily, with forecast output to 180 hours (~7 days).

They also create higher resolution Surface Wind charts for North America, Western Europe and the Mediterranean.
