STCW 1.27 Model Generic ECDIS Course
In conjunction with the professional trainers from ECDIS Ltd we are offering and hosting the STCW 1.27 Model, DNV approved, Generic ECDIS Course in Mallorca in our new dedicated training facility
The course has been designed for candidates for certification as officers in
charge of a navigational watch, for experienced nautical officers and other persons with navigational responsibilities. Those attending the course should therefore have experience in performing chartwork and should be able to practice all usual
tasks concerning standard navigational procedures and equipment. They should also know about the functions and limitations of other navigational equipment.
Based on the IMO 1.27 model, the course has been optimised so it fulfils the 40-hour requirement whilst also covering additional subjects that are considered pertinent to safe ECDIS operation.
The course is run in English by trainers from ECDIS Ltd who are specialist navigators that are highly experienced in the practical use of ECDIS, having pushed such systems to their limits at sea. Combined, the ECDIS Ltd trainers have taught over 1000 mariners.
