e3 Systems have recognised that the increased use of advanced technology on board yachts and ships has generated a subsequent need for engineers and ETOs to be more familiar with the systems in order to troubleshoot problems.

We have developed a 1 day Basic Digital Satellite TV Course. The course is run by our own Course Instructors who have many years of practical experience in every aspect of the course content.  Successful students will be issued with a certificate and the necessary information and manuals to help them operate and service their complete satellite TV system, including the Sea Tel stabilised antenna system, distribution, decoders and contracts.

a)    Stabilised antenna concepts and theory

b)    Familiarisation of antenna components

c)    Familiarisation with below decks equipment

d)    Programming, operating, controlling and monitoring the DAC

- Distribution

a)    Different techniques

b)    Cabling

c)    Multiswitch

d)    Commissioning and testing

- TV Services

a)    Services available – footprints/dish size, channels, language

b)    Service contracts – decoders & costs, contracts, payment terms

c)    Tricks & tips – activation, changing packages

- Trouble Shooting

a)    Equipment or service? How to tell.

b)    Service tests.

c)    Equipment tests.
